I treat many different types of problem and pathology and recommend to clients the best combination of therapy’s, for their condition and constitution, for example this could range from only using Acupuncture or body based therapy’s like massage shiatsu or connective tissue stretching , this may also include a specifically designed herbal formula and appropriate dietary advice .
Some clients are interested in learning specific exercises to help their condition, in this case the focus is using Yoga therapy methods applying movements, positions (asana), breath work(pranayamas),mindfulness and simple meditation technics to help calm and relax their Body Energy and mind.

Teaching experience
John’s approach to complimentary medicine started in the late 70s and draws from his long and eclectic background of study and practice of natural forms of medicine and self-development. John has continuously taught Yoga, Breathing (pranayama) and Meditation in classes, courses and one to one sessions for many years. He is presently the only Yantra Yoga teacher in the UK, teaching open courses for new people and beginners, and intermediate / advanced courses, many of these courses and retreats are organised by the Dzogchen Community and Shang Shung Institute in the UK.
For several years John has integrated considerable knowledge of Oriental medicine and Yoga formulating client led, one to one sessions, which focus on different conditions and imbalances that effect the Body, Energy and Mind.
Special interest studies
John has had a personal interest over many years in the main Eastern systems of medicine and self-development. He has developed an understanding of the similarity’s in understanding an application of 'Energy', which is called Qi, Prana and rLung in Chinese Ayurveda and Tibetan medicine respectively. John has been able to integrate aspects of these separate streams of knowledge and utilises them in his practice and teaching.
He has continued training through his career attending seminars and workshops in specialised areas such as dermatology, respiratory diseases, gynaecology, immune disorders, internal medicine, gastrointestinal mental / emotional disorders, and muscular skeletal problems.
